Course Description
Asbestos is widely regarded as one of the most hazardous building materials ever used. Every year, thousands suffer from illnesses and fatalities due to asbestos exposure, a material extensively utilized by the construction industry until 2000.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) applies to employers, employees, self-employed individuals, and duty holders, encompassing all activities involving asbestos-containing materials. Regulation 10 of CAR mandates that employers ensure adequate information, instruction, and training for employees likely to encounter or disturb asbestos, including maintenance workers.
This course not only educates candidates on the risks associated with asbestos but also equips them with knowledge to identify asbestos-containing materials, understand its historical usage, and implement measures to mitigate risks. It comprehensively covers relevant legislation governing asbestos work.
Each module concludes with multiple-choice questions requiring candidates to achieve 100% accuracy across three attempts for course completion.
